N. Tonawanda man accused of 116 rapes Suspect being held in Pennsylvania jail

A North Tonawanda man is in a Pennsylvania jail in lieu of $250,000 bail in connection with more than 100 counts of rape following his alleged molestation of a family member in the Coudersport, Pa., area dating back to 1994, Pennsylvania state police reported.

Dennis M. Pollock, 43, of Fifth Avenue, was arraigned Wednesday in Pennsylvania on 116 counts each of rape and statutory sexual assault; 117 counts each of aggravated indecent assault, incest and corruption of minors; and one count each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, statutory rape and endangering the welfare of children.

Pennsylvania state police reported that Pollock had numerous sexual encounters with a girl beginning when she was 6 in 1994 and then again from May 5, 1997, to March 1, 2002, when the girl was 9 to 14. The rapes allegedly took place in Pike Township and in the borough of Ulysses.

Pollock, who, according to public records, lived in Pennsylvania until moving to Western New York in early 2006, was taken to the Potter County Jail pending a preliminary hearing next week.
