Explore one aspect of this quandary when the UBThisSummer Lecture Series presents "Trashy Tabloids and Vegas Casinos: The Ancient World in Modern Pop Culture" at 4 p.m. Wednesday. Donald T. McGuire Jr., an adjunct assistant professor of classics, will look at modern pop culture and explore some of the ways in which the ancient world has been re-created in contemporary culture.
