Niagara University's Department of Theater and Fine Arts and Brother Augustine Towey have announced that Gregory Fletcher will succeed Brendan Powers as director of Niagara University Theatre. In addition, Doug Zschiegner will replace the late Timothy Ward as acting faculty/associate director of Niagara University Theatre.

Opera-Lytes will hold auditions for the fall production of "Guys and Dolls" at 5 p.m. June 24 in the Amherst Community Church, 77 Washington Highway, Snyder. The Buffalo Choral Arts Society will hold auditions for its 2007-08 season at 6 p.m. Monday in St. Joseph's University Church on Main Street near Winspear Avenue. Prepare a solo from any published source. The 10-minute audition will include pitch-making, voice placement and a simple sight-reading passage. Studio Arena Theatre is seeking male actors to play 16-year-old high school students, no taller than 5-foot-6; to play characters ages 40 to 45 and 65 to 70; and female actors to play characters in their late 30s and mid-40s to 50s in the upcoming production of "Indian Blood." Starry Night Theatre will hold auditions for the musical "Oliver!" from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in Ghostlight Theatre, 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda. Actors ages 10 to adult are sought.
