>Dunkirk man charged in rape in Portland
A Dunkirk man was charged with first-degree rape in an attack on a woman in Portland, Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies reported Monday.
After arraignment, Rafael T. Zabala, 22, of Columbus Street, was taken to Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 property bond.
Zabala is accused of forcing a woman to engage in sexual conduct early March 1 in a Webster Road home, authorities said.
>Man stabbed, 2 arrested in East Otto bar fight
EAST OTTO -- A bar fight late Sunday in the Zoar Valley Inn resulted in the stabbing of one man and the arrests of two others, Cattaraugus County sheriff's deputies reported.
Levi White Jr., 57, of Manning, S.C., was charged with felony and misdemeanor assault, and Justin M. Anderson, 21, of East Otto, was charged with misdemeanor assault.
Anderson is accused of punching the 25-year-old victim in the eye, while White stabbed the man in the back with a knife, authorities said. The victim was released after treatment in Bertrand Chaffee Hospital, Springville.
White also is accused of grabbing a 30-year-old woman, resulting in minor injuries. He was ordered held without bail.
Anderson was issued a ticket to appear in East Otto Town Court.
>Chautauqua County adds two to Wanted List
MAYVILLE -- Two people have been added to the Chautauqua County Wanted List.
Sheriff's officers said they're looking for Donald Hebner Jr., 25, of Pierson Road, Stockton, on a felony charge of criminal possession of stolen property.
Deputies said Melissa Seekings, 25, of Winsor Street, Jamestown, is wanted on charges of obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. Anyone with information on either person, or anyone else on the Wanted List, is asked to contact the Sheriff's Office at 753-2131.
