*Air Force Airman Paulette G. Morreale graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.
During the six weeks of training, she studied the Air Force mission, ; performed drill and ceremony marches and received physical training, rifle marksmanship and special training in human relations.
In addition, Morreale earned credits toward an associate's degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
She is the daughter of Barbara Morreale and niece of Jean Boos, both of Niagara Falls, and is a 2005 graduate of Niagara Falls High School.
*Army Pvt. Shane R. Slack graduated from Basic Combat Training at Fort Knox, Ky., and Army Reserve Pvt. Tiffany A. Brogan graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.
During the nine-week training period, both received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship and bayonet training, chemical warfare, armed and unarmed combat, military justice and Army history, traditions and core values.
Slack is the son of Sandra Wagner and stepson of James Wagner of Barker and is a 2003 graduate of Barker Central High School.
Brogan is the daughter of Helen Harris of North Tonawanda and is a 2006 graduate of North Tonawanda High School.
*The Niagara Gateway District of the Boy Scouts of America will present its 2007 Scouting Salutes Community Service Award to Paul Dyster during the district's third annual awards dinner May 8 in Como Restaurant, Niagara Falls.
Ross Munt, representative of the Greater Niagara Frontier Council, said that through his involvement in the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, environmental causes and the Boy Scouts of America, Dyster has demonstrated a strong desire to improve his community.
