Susan M. Feather, a purchasing agent, died Sunday in her Town of Tonawanda home. She was 44.
Born Susan O'Mara in the Town of Tonawanda, she was a 1981 graduate of Kenmore East High School and earned a bachelor's degree in communications from the University at Buffalo.
She worked for more than 12 years with receivables and payroll at Tiede-Zoller Construction Co. and at the time of her death was a purchasing agent for Summit Education Resources in Amherst. She was a notary public.
She was very active with the PTA at Hamilton Elementary School and Franklin Middle School.
A lifelong member of Kenmore Presbyterian Church, she was a member of the Bell Choir. She enjoyed gardening, making decorative floral wreaths and floral arrangements and hiking and kayaking in the Adirondacks.
Surviving are her husband of 21 years, Richard K. Jr., a customer service representative in the Buffalo News Circulation Department; a daughter, Jessica; a son, Richard W.; her mother, Marjorie O'Mara; and a brother, William O'Mara III.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Friday in Kenmore Presbyterian Church, 2771 Delaware Ave., Kenmore.
