>Board enacts ordinance for site plan review
As part of an effort to increase the quality of development in West Seneca, the Town Board on Monday night enacted a site plan review ordinance.
The new local law will delegate to the town's Planning Board the authority to review site plans for proposed projects.
Town Attorney Timothy Greenan said that under the new ordinance the trigger for site plan review by the Planning Board will be an application for a building permit or a change of use for an existing property.
Greenan said town officials recognized the need for the ordinance when they put together their master plan last year.
This is a great step forward for the town," Councilman Christopher Osmanski said.
In other business, the board approved a special permit request for property at 395 West Ave. for an automotive repair shop. The Planning Board recommended approval of the request with several conditions.
