A planned championship golf course in the Town of Lewiston is being developed by the Seneca Management Development Corp., not the Seneca Niagara Gaming Corp. as stated in a story Tuesday. Also, the Niagara County Industrial Development Agency has set a public hearing on the corporation's request for tax breaks on the project but has yet to approve them.

A story in Tuesday's Niagara edition about the proposed 2007-08 Starpoint school budget contained several errors. The proposed $40.3 million budget carries an average decrease of 55 cents per $1,000 in assessed property value, not an increase, said Stephen J. Lunden, director of administrative services. School Board members previously had authorized asking voters on May 15 to approve $15.4 million in capital improvements in the district, about $351,000 of which would be paid for by taxpayers; the state would cover the rest of the cost, a fact that was not made clear in the article.
