Legislature creates position of planner

BELMONT -- The Allegany County Legislature on Monday created a planner position in the Office of Development.

The planner, when hired, will be paid between $33,719 and $46,677 per year.

The county has been without a professional planner since Kier Dirlam of Angelica resigned to become the Village of Wellsville's geographic information specialist several years ago.

Also Monday, the Legislature tabled a resolution approving state authorization of a sales tax extension.
