Touching tribute

Angels pitcher Joe Saunders worked with a heavy heart Friday night in beating the Mariners, 8-4. Saunders, the only current major leaguer who is an alum of Virginia Tech, threw six scoreless innings while wearing a Hokies cap in honor of the 32 students who died at the school Monday. Saunders was given special permission from commissioner Bud Selig to alter his uniform.
