Ingram Micro, a California-headquartered technology distributor, named Jeff Streb director of human resources at its Williamsville office. Streb, who has worked at Ingram Micro since 2000, holds a BS in business administration from the University at Buffalo and an MBA from University of Texas, Arlington. He is also a 2006 graduate of the Leadership Niagara.

Five Star Bank named Melissa Filipiak branch manager of the East Aurora market. Filipiak has held various positions at Five Star Bank during the past five years includingbranch manager in the Strykrsville/North Java market and sales administrator at Wyoming County branch.

McDonald's Restaurant manager Valerie Richards recently graduated from McDonald's Hamburger University in Oak Brook, Ill. Richards, who began her career with the restaurant as a cashier in 1999, manages its Angola location on the New York Thruway. In 2002 Richards was honored as Manager of the Year for her outstanding commitment and contributions to her restaurant and co-workers.

First Horizon Home Loans, located at 5166 Main St., Williamsville, recently named Eric Hansen, Marla Hansen, and James Scherer relationship managers. Eric Hansen, most recently with GMAC Mortgage, brings with him over 15 years experience. Marla Hansen also was with GMAC Mortgage. James Scherer is an 18 year veteran of the mortgage industry. In addition to home loans, they will handle financial planning and credit card services.

Century 21 Gold Standard associate broker Jerry Thompson IIwas awarded the Centurion Award for the third year in a row. Thompson hasreceived this award for the 3rd year in a row. The award is for the highest level of salesresults for Century 21 agents.
