Falls teen gets prison in abduction, drug theft

LOCKPORT -- Matthew Humphrey, 17, of Niagara Falls, charged with abducting a Lockport man at gunpoint last June and stealing 4 ounces of cocaine, was sentenced Wednesday in Niagara County Court to 3 1/2 years in prison on his conviction for first-degree burglary.

The sentence by Judge Peter L. Broderick Sr. also included three years of supervision for Humphrey after his release from prison. Humphrey and co-defendants Marvin Porter, Robbie Pinckney and Deron Weaver, all of Niagara Falls, accepted plea deals for kicking in the door of a Tudor Lane apartment in Lockport last June 3, then beating the man on the head with a gun and forcing him to drive to Washington Street in Lockport to deliver cocaine.

The four were stopped in Sanborn by Niagara County sheriff's deputies, who reported finding two loaded handguns and cocaine.
