The beat goes on Saturday in Buffalo State College when "Day of Percussion" begins at 9 a.m. with a hands-on clinic with featured artists Ed Mann, percussionist for Frank Zappa; Jim Donovan, drummer/percussionist for Rusted Root; Maelstrom Percussion Fusion; and the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra percussion section. The clinic is followed by the "Maelstrom and Master Drummer Concert" at 8 p.m. Both events take place in the Performing Arts Center, Rockwell Hall, 1300 Elmwood Ave. For more information and tickets, call 878-3005.
