U.S. Figure Skating Championships competitor Taylor Firth will be among the performers at the fifth annual Rising Stars on Ice show at 6 p.m. April 28 at Holiday Twin Rinks, 3465 Broadway, Cheektowaga.
Firth, a 15-year-old honor student from Grand Island, was the first Western New Yorker in 75 years to compete in the senior ladies freestyle event at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships.
Firth will be part of a presentation that showcases 25 skaters ranging from age 3 to adult. Suzanne Bauth, a figure skating coach in Western New York, will direct the show.
Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door; children 5 and under are admitted free. A portion of the proceeds will benefit The Skating Club of Western New York, a non-profit organization.
