SAT PRACTICE: The Princeton Review will offer free Princeton Review Assessment tests, including both SAT and ACT questions, on April 28. Princeton Review spokesman said the free test gives students an idea which test will give them a better score. For more information, go to or call 800-2Review.


CONCERT: Violinist Alexander Boissonnault, a senior at Williamsville South, has won the music scholarship competition sponsored by Friends of the Amherst Symphony Orchestra and the Williamsville Rotary. It will be presented at 7 p.m. April 22 at the Amherst Symphony Orchestra concert at Amherst Middle School. He is concertmaster of the school orchestra and Greater Buffalo Youth Orchestra and plans to pursue a career in music performance.


FILM FEST: Short films by Western New York high school students will be aired at 7 p.m. April 24 at the Flickinger Performing Arts Center at Nichols.


RESEARCH STUDY: The UB Research Institute is seeking girls ages 14 to 17 and their mothers for research on teen behavior. Eligible mother-daughter pairs will participate in separate, simultaneous focus groups to discuss their views of teen risk behavior. Call 887-3344. Information will be kept confidential.
