HALL OF FAMERS -- The Town Boys and Girls Club in Riverside is inducting six people into its Hall of Fame at a reception at 6 p.m. Saturday in the club at 54 Riverdale Ave. Being honored are Ed Niemann, Dennis Evchich, Bob Hochulski, Jim Yaksich, Laurie Johnston and Gary Krasinski. MEOW MIXERS -- It's a big month for the Ten Lives Club, the cat rescue and adoption group in the Southtowns. At 2 p.m. Saturday, the group will dedicate a fountain in memory of Cindy Lauchert, who fostered and found homes for hundreds of kittens, in its new shelter in the former Orsini's Restaurant at 11275 Springville-Boston Road, Concord.

"We know Cindy would totally enjoy the idea of a fountain at the shelter to keep our cats amused and give them fresh drinking water," says founder Marie Edwards.

Then, a week later, from 1 to 5 p.m. April 28, the club will hold its sixth annual Furball in the Knights of Columbus Hall, 36 Pierce Ave., Hamburg. In addition to music, there will be goodie bags for the first 100 to arrive, theme baskets, auctions and a drink special called -- what else? -- the Fur Ball. Admission is $5. Children 16 and under are free.


ORDER EARLY -- Advance purchase is advised for the fish fry catered by BW's from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday in Kenmore United Church of Christ, 295 Delaware Road. You might be able to put down $8 and get fish, fries, cole slaw and dessert that evening, but quantities are limited, publicist Pat Burgstahler reports.
