Prescription medicines stolen from Falls home

NIAGARA FALLS -- Several bottles of prescription medications were stolen from a Cedar Avenue residence last week, police said Saturday.

The resident told police she had hidden the medications between a couch and a table. The value of the medications was not available.

Intruder damages $4,000 in equipment

NIAGARA FALLS -- Police said an intruder broke into a Monteagle Street home Saturday, causing more than $4,000 in damage. Bleach was poured on disc jockey equipment, a surround-sound system, a 32-inch television set and a DVD player, police said.

Piggy bank with $350 taken during break-in

NIAGARA FALLS -- A burglar smashed out a window to enter a LaSalle Avenue home early Saturday and made off with items valued at more than $700.

The break-in occurred between 2 and 3 a.m., police said, and a piggy bank containing $350 in coins and a video game system were stolen. A cellular telephone was destroyed, police added.

$1,200 laptop taken during Falls burglary

NIAGARA FALLS -- A laptop computer valued at $1,200 was stolen during at burglary at a Linwood Avenue home at about 3 p.m. Friday , police said. The home was entered through a first-floor window, police added.
