Alden

The Town Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Town Hall, 3311 Wende Road.

Also this week:

The Village Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Village Hall, 1336 Broadway.

Amherst

The Amherst Town Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in Town Hall, 5583 Main St., Williamsville, for a public hearing on a proposal to ensure that public facilities are available before new land uses are approved.

Also this week:

The Williamsville School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the district office board room, 105 Casey Road, East Amherst. Public portion begins at 7:30 p.m.

Aurora

The East Aurora Village Board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in Village Hall, Main and Paine streets.

Also this week:

The East Aurora School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday to review the preliminary budget for next school year. The board meets in the library of the Main Street School, 430 Main St.

Buffalo

The Common Council meets at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers, on the 13th floor of City Hall. The Council is expected to vote on a revised law aimed at cracking down on panhandling.

A city panel that reviews issues affecting the taxi cab industry will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday in Room 1417 of City Hall.

The board of trustees of the Orable Charter School will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the school, 888 Delaware Ave.

Cheektowaga

The Town Board will meet at 6:45 p.m. Monday in the council chambers in Town Hall, 3301 Broadway at Union Road.

The Cheektowaga-Sloan School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School cafeteria, 166 Halstead Ave.

The Traffic Safety Commission will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers in Town Hall.

The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the council chambers in Town Hall.

The Conservation Advisory Council will conduct a work session at 10 a.m. Saturday in the council office conference room in Town Hall.

The Town Board will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Elma Town Hall, 1600 Bowen Road.

Erie County

The Legislature's Energy and Environment Committee meets at 4:30 p.m. Monday on the fourth floor of Old County Hall, 92 Franklin St., to interview candidates for Erie County Water Authority commissioner.

The Fiscal Stability Authority will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Buffalo and Erie County Library Auditorium, Lafayette Square.

The Erie County Legislature's Health Committee meets at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Erie County Legislature meets at 2 p.m. Thursday on the fourth floor of Old County Hall, 92 Franklin St.

North Collins

The North Collins School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in the cafeteria of the Junior-Senior High School, 2045 School St.

City of Tonawanda

The Common Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall, 200 Niagara St.
