SPECIAL SERVICE: St. John's Women's Day Committee is celebrating Women's Day 2007, with a service featuring the Rev. Clara Castro of Buffalo as guest speaker, 11 a.m.; and a service with Sister Erica Mathews of St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church as guest speaker, at the church, 917 Garden Ave., Niagara Falls.


RUMMAGE SALE: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., St. John Lutheran Church, 6950 Ward Road, Wheatfield. Continues 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, when the church will hold a $2 bag sale.


RUMMAGE, CHOWDER & BAKE SALE: Rummage sale, 9 a.m. to noon, chowder sale, 11 a.m., bag sale, 1 to 3 p.m., First United Methodist Church, Main and Tremont streets, North Tonawanda.

Next Sunday

PERFORMANCE:Niagara County Community College Gospel Choir, 4 p.m., Sanctuary Temple, 7 Vine St., Lockport. The choir will be directed by Adia Tyson.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS FAIR: More than 20 health care agencies will be on hand to introduce and explain their specialties and answer questions, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., First Presbyterian Church, 100 Church St., Youngstown. Members of the Youth Fellowship will sponsor a Chiavetta's Chicken Barbecue, noon to 2 p.m. Cost, $8.
