UB plays spring game

College football fans can get an early look at the 2007 University at Buffalo football team today when the Bulls take the field for their annual Blue White scrimmage.

Gates open at UB Stadium at 12:30 p.m. with the scrimmage scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Admission is free.

The first 250 fans through the gates receive a free Bulls souvenir cup and free soda. There will be hot dogs available for $1. There will also be an inflatable obstacle course in the kidszone.

In addition, fans interested in season tickets will have the opportunity to select their seat for the 2007 season. An autograph session will follow the game.

This will mark the second spring scrimmage for second-year head coach Turner Gill.

Some of the key players to watch are defensive end Trevor Scott and quarterbacks Drew Willy and Naaman Roosevelt, the St. Joe's graduate who was the Buffalo News Western New York Player of the Year in 2005.
