*MusicalFare Theatre has announced its 2007-08 season auditions for productions including: "Altar Boyz," "A Brief History of White Music," "Bat Boy: The Musical," "Sweeney Todd," "Victory Vaudeville: The Father Baker Story" and "Beyond the Rainbow: The Life of Judy Garland."
Auditions are by appointment only, from 6 to 10 p.m. April 23 in MusicalFare Theatre, Daemen College, 4380 Main St., Amherst. Auditioners must call 839-8539 to schedule an appointment. Those auditioning should bring sheet music for two songs and be at least 16 years of age.
*The Ghostlight Theatre, 170 Schenck St., North Tonawanda, will conduct auditions for its one-acts -- "Any Body for Tea" and "A Mad Breakfast." The auditions will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. April 30 and May 1. There are roles for 12 women and seven men. Those auditioning will be asked to give a cold reading. The Kenan Center House Gallery in Lockport is seeking artists of various media for the 39th annual Niagara Frontier Art Exhibit. The show is open to artists ages 17 and older who reside or study in Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Erie, Genesee, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans or Wyoming counties or southern Ontario. Olean Public Library is currently reviewing proposals for its 2008 exhibition program, which will include six solo exhibitions. Emerging Western and Central New York artists are encouraged to apply.
