Troopers continue probe of fatal one-car crash
RANDOLPH -- State police continue to investigate a one-car crash that claimed the life of a Connecticut woman Tuesday afternoon on Route 86.
Troopers based in Jamestown said Lynn Anderson, 56, of Pomfret, Conn., lost control of her vehicle at about 3 p.m. as she was westbound in the Town of Randolph.
The car left the roadway and struck a guardrail on the north side of the highway before crossing over and hitting the guardrail on the south side nearly head-on.
The victim was not wearing her seat belt and was ejected through the passenger side window. Randolph fire crews transported Anderson to WCA Hospital, Jamestown, where she later died.
