Feldman, Kieffer and Herman founding partner Andrew Feldman was recognized by the American Podiatric Medical Association with the 2007 President's Award during the APMA House of Delegates meeting in Washington, D.C. recently. The award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to benefit the profession of podiatry and its members. Feldman has served as general counsel to the New York State Podiatric Medical Association for more 20 years.

Fontanese Folts Aubrecht Ernst Bammel, Architects, appointed Raymond A. Murphy an associate. Murphy, who is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, joined the firm in 2001. He hold masters degrees in architecture and business administration from the University at Buffalo.

Buffalo Niagara Partnership business development representative Sarah Ham was recently elected to the Executive Committee of the Great Lakes Manufacturing Council, a membership organization representing industry, nongovernmental organizations, trade associations, organized labor, educational and financial institutions, economic development groups, chambers of commerce, governments and others united to promote, enhance and preserve manufacturing in the Great Lakes Region.

Upstate New York Professional Healthcare Information and Educational Demonstration Project recently appointed Cheryl Canfield, Independent Health's compliance/privacy officer, to the organization's board of directors. The organization provides leadership, education, outreach and support for the secure and confidential communication of health information among providers, payers, institutions, and patients.

Red Robin Gourmet Burgers, a casual dining restaurant chain focused on serving selection of gourmet burgers in a family-friendly atmosphere, is scheduled to open in Orchard Park later this month. The new 6,350 square-foot restaurant, located at 3460 Amelia Drive, plans to employ more than 100 employees.
