Nancy G. Phelps, retired bookkeeper <br> Sept. 5, 1937 -- Jan. 14, 2007

A memorial service for Nancy G. Phelps of Marilla, a retired bookkeeper, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Millgrove Bible Church, 11517 Genesee St., Alden.

She died unexpectedly Jan. 14, when an intruder broke into her home. She was 69.

Born Nancy Geer in Java, she was a graduate of Holland High School.

A resident of Marilla since 1972, she was retired as a bookkeeper for the ElderWood nursing homes.

"She was loved by all," said her stepdaughter, Jane Herington. "Wherever she went, she knew somebody. And she loved God. She was a very good Christian."

She was the widow of Frank Siclari, and the Rev. Daniel O. Phelps, pastor of Java Village Baptist Church.

In addition to her stepdaughter, survivors include a son, Leslie Siclari; two stepsons, Daniel E. Phelps and Robert E. Phelps; and a sister, Inez Blanck.

A second memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Monday in Kenneth Howe Funeral Home, 64 Maple Road, East Aurora.
