Tryouts for the 2007-08 Buffalo Junior Sabres will be on Monday and Tuesday, April 16 and 17, from 6-9:30 p.m. in HSBC Arena.

The team is coached by former Buffalo Sabres Grant Ledyard and Larry Playfair. The Junior Sabres will play in the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League based in Toronto.

Players born in 1987-90 are eligible and should go to the team Web site at for required pre-registration information.

Nominations are being accepted for the next class of inductees to the UB Athletic Hall of Fame. Accepted nominees will be honored during Homecoming Weekend.

Tim Sullivan, a basketball shooting coach who has worked at the pro, college and high school level, will give a clinic at Akron High School on Saturday, May 12.
