>Two masked women rob Willet Street resident

A Willet Street woman was robbed Sunday morning by two women wearing ski masks who jumped out of a vehicle.

The victim told police she was at Casimir and Barnard streets at about 6 a.m. when the assailants got out of an older-model white Cadillac. One masked woman wielded a handgun, while the other carried a bat.

They took the victim's backpack and a shopping bag, fleeing with $60 in cash, a cell phone, a credit card and other belongings.

A Grand Island man was charged with driving while intoxicated Sunday after an Erie County sheriff's deputy stopped his vehicle on Staley Road.

Peter E. Ingram, 36, of East River Road, refused a breath test after being pulled over at 4 a.m. Sunday. He was released to a third party.
