OLAF FUB SEZ: According to British poet and critic Sir Stephen Spender (1909-1995), "History is the ship carrying living memories to the future."

From death to life,

Impossible some say,

Though ancients claimed

The sun arises,

Born again each day.

And what of spring.

The buds returning,

Promising new life?

Fairy tale, or deepest yearning,

Is this not the prayer we pray?

"Let the spring last forever,

Life eternal Easter day."

-- Bill Slon
