Bisons, Braves will try again

The Buffalo Bisons will attempt to make up Thursday's Opening Day, which was postponed due to snow, with a doubleheader against the Richmond Braves beginning at 4:05 p.m. today in Dunn Tire Park.

But today's game is in doubt as well because the weather forecast calls for a 60 percent chance of snow and temperatures below freezing. The teams will play two, seven-inning games with Adam Miller, the Cleveland Indians' top prospect according to Baseball America, and Brian Slocum due to start on the mound for the Herd.

Fans with tickets to Thursday's game can exchange them for a comparable ticket to any future 2007 Bisons game with the exception of July 3.

All ticket exchanges must be made at the Dunn Tire Park box office.

Dunn Tire wasn't the only ballpark hit with snow on Thursday.

A foot of snow fell at Hadlock Field in Portland, Maine, causing the postponement of the Portland Sea Dogs' Double A opener against the Connecticut Defenders.

Snow was also in the forecast in Lansing, Mich., and the Single A Lansing Lugnuts and Fort Wayne Wizards game for Thursday night was postponed.
