A Park Street woman drove her vehicle into a woman and at least six cars Tuesday evening in the parking lot of the Jewish Community Center on Delaware Avenue, Buffalo police said.
The driver was arrested a short time later after stripping off her clothes, police said.
Chastity A. Farmer, 34, was charged with felony assault, reckless endangerment, exposure of a person and two counts of leaving the scene of an accident.
The victim, whose name was not released, was being treated Tuesday night in Erie County Medical Center. Her condition was unavailable. Farmer was undergoing a mental evaluation in ECMC, police said.
At about 6:30 p.m., Farmer drove her sport utility vehicle into the rear of a car stopped at Summer Street and Delaware Avenue.
Police said Farmer pulled into the parking lot of the Jewish Community Center at 787 Delaware Ave. and was approached by a Summer Street woman who questioned her about the accident. Farmer struck the woman with her vehicle, backed up at a high rate of speed and hit her again before she began ramming several parked vehicles in the lot, according to police, who said that at least six vehicles were damaged in the incident.
Farmer pulled her vehicle out of the lot, abandoning it nearby, then removed her clothing while while walking along Delaware Avenue, police said.
