Murphy / De Simone

Barbara A. Murphy became the bride of John M. DeSimone as the couple were united in marriage during a ceremony at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center, preceding a reception. The Rev. Jack Coyne heard their exchange of nuptial vows. The bride is the daughter of the late Matthew J. and Lucille M. Murphy and the bridegroom is the son of MaryAnn DeSimone of Kenmore and the late Marino DeSimone. The newly married couple will live in Kenmore after traveling to St. Kitts. The bride is assistant director of Niagara County Community College Foundation and is a part- time lecturer in communications at Buffalo State College, where she received a master's degree in multidisciplinary studies. She is also a graduate of Geneseo State College. The bride's father was a state assemblyman from Niagara County. The bridegroom, a graduate of Canisius College, is a senior investigator for Omniplex Worldwide Investigations and retired from the Army with the rank of captain.
