Heritage Center offers Pathways of Employment, a program that focuses on helping young adults ages 16 to 21 with mental-health concerns prepare for and enter the work force. There are several programs available for individuals with disabilities. For information, call 856-4202, Ext. 229.

Parents Anonymous of Buffalo and Erie County offers help for children with special needs often associated with neglect and abuse. Support groups for children and for parents, respite care, recreational activities, family crisis, management and a parent advice line are all available for families seeking help. Gateway Longview, a multiservice agency serving children and families, offers special education and intensive support services for children ages 3 to 21 with severe emotional, behavior and learning problems. For information, call 633-7266.

Deaf Adult Services, 2495 Main St., Suite 450, is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals who need assistance. Walk-in clients will be assisted or referred to appropriate agencies. For information, call 833-1637.
