Around town / Niagara County meetings and hearings this week


The Common Council will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Municipal Building, One Locks Plaza. Mayor Michael W. Tucker makes his annual appointments.

Also this week:

The Town Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall, 6560 Dysinger Road. It will make appointments to vacancies on various boards and committees.

The meeting begins with a public hearing on rezoning the so-called Reggentine parcel on Old Beattie Road from single-family homes to multiple dwellings.


>Town of Niagara

The Town Board will hold a work session at 7 p.m. Thursday in Town Hall, 7105 Lockport Road.

The Town Board will hold a reorganizational meeting at 4 p.m. Friday in Town Hall.


>Niagara County

The County Legislature will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Courthouse, Park Avenue and Hawley Street, Lockport. Annual reorganizational meeting, with the installation of new Chairman Clyde L. Burmaster and the party leaders and committee chairmen.


>Niagara Falls

The Niagara Falls School Board will hold a program review session at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the district Annex Building, 606 Sixth St.


>North Tonawanda

The Common Council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Council Chambers at City Hall, 216 Payne Ave.



The Town Board will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Town Hall, 6570 Campbell Blvd., to consider a request by Melissa DiLapo to rezone her property along Campbell Boulevard, near Bear Ridge Road, from R-1 Residential to CO-1 Light Commercial. The hearing will be followed by a regular board meeting at 8.
