NIAGARA FALLS -- John T. Armbruster of Niagara Falls, an industrial designer for optical companies, died Tuesday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was 90.
Born in Buffalo, he graduated from Bennett High School in Buffalo and the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. He was employed from 1941 until his retirement in 1978 at American Optical, and later at Warner Lambert.
Mr. Armbruster is survived by his wife of 65 years, the former Thelma Stahlman; three daughters, Jeryl Trybala, Nancy Schuessler and Holly Cummings; and a brother, Chuck.
A private memorial service will be held.
