Barbara M. Shea of West Seneca, a retired records clerk, died Thursday in Roswell Park Cancer Institute after a brief illness. She was 72.
Born in Buffalo, the former Barbara Smith graduated from St. Theresa's School, Baker Victory Academy and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute.
She was employed as a clerk by the West Seneca school system before going to work for the West Seneca Police Department as a records clerk. She retired in 1996 after 20 years in that position.
Mrs. Shea was a member of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church.
Her husband, George, died last August.
Survivors include five daughters, Kathleen Przybyl, Mary Eileen Kennedy, Theresa Morgan, Susan Browne and Sally, and a son, Patrick.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in St. Martin of Tours Church, 1140 Abbott Road. Prayers will be said at 9 in Reddington Funeral Home, 657 Abbott Road.
