Wayne R. Becher, of Niagara Falls, died Sunday in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. He was 86.
He was born in Cleveland and moved to Niagara Falls many years ago. He served in the Army during World War II and was stationed in Manila.
Mr. Becher formerly worked in the Union Carbide Acheson plant and was a member of Lodge 253, Free & Accepted Masons, in Ohio. He was a former member of the American Legion. He was a volunteer at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for 15 years.
His wife, Dorothy, died in 1992.
Surviving are a dear friend, Peggy Shenk; four sons, Dale T., Wayne, Warren and Dean; and a sister, Jeanette Talbot.
Services will be at 11 a.m. today in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Rainbow Boulevard at Second Street.
