Pauline Caterina, a homemaker and volunteer, died Thursday in her Niagara Falls home after a lengthy illness. She was 78.
Born Pauline Newton in Niagara Falls, she attended local schools. She worked as a sales clerk for Jenss department store during the 1970s.
A member of the St. Jude Shrine, she made crafts for shrine fundraisers and helped the elderly, sick and less-fortunate.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Louis; a daughter, Patricia Reagan of Sunset Beach, N.C.; two sons, James V. and Mark G.; and a sister, Beatrice Jackson.
Her funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave.
