Norma R. Gillespie, a Lewiston homemaker, died Tuesday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston. She was 89.
Born Norma R. Richardson in Niagara Falls, she was a 1935 graduate of LaSalle High School. She was also a graduate of Kelley Business Institute in Niagara Falls.
Mrs. Gillespie was employed as a secretary for Hooker Chemical Co. in Niagara Falls from 1936 to 1944. On July 25, 1942, she married William Gillespie, and they moved to Lewiston in 1957. He died in 2001.
Mrs. Gillespie was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Paul and Mark; a daughter, Patrice Sweet; two sisters, Joan Murphy and Ruth Champoux; and a brother, Peter Richardson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. Peter Church, 600 Center St.
