Chester A. Hayes, of Buffalo, died Monday in the Cleveland Clinic. He was 64.
Born in Sheffield, Ala., he was a graduate of Seneca High School and Tuskegee Institute.
Mr. Hayes served as a military police officer in the Army during the Korean War.
He worked at the Delphi plant in Lockport for more than 30 years.
Mr. Hayes was an avid Harley-Davidson rider and enjoyed playing chess and backgammon.
He is survived by a daughter, Michelle; two sons, Arthur and Harry; his father, Arthur; and two sisters, Constance Johnson and Joyce Jeter.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Amigone Funeral Home, 1132 Delaware Ave.
