Woman, 19, arrested in stolen-property case
WELLSVILLE -- Wellsville police charged Amanda M. Bowker, 19, of Wellsville, with criminal possession of stolen property after accusing her of having and selling to a dealer several video games and a remote-control device.
The items, police said, had been reported stolen in a recent home burglary.
Police said the charge, filed Saturday, is a result of a continuing investigation into a burglary at Hillside Homes, an apartment complex on South Brooklyn Avenue.
Bowker is to answer the charge in Village Court on Jan. 9.
Man in parking lot charged with disorderly conduct
WELLSVILLE -- A Salamanca man accused of refusing to leave a Wellsville bar parking lot Sunday morning was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, Wellsville police reported.
Village police said they arrested Damon T. Lewis, 37, after bouncers at JB's Nightclub called for help in ejecting him from the parking lot, where he was using profane language and refusing to leave shortly after 2 a.m.
Village Justice Will Goetschius released Lewis on his own recognizance and ordered him to appear in Village Court on Jan. 16.
