Jane M. Driscoll, a retired Buffalo teacher and school librarian, died Saturday in Buffalo General Hospital. She was 82.
A 1946 graduate of Trinity College in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Driscoll received master's degrees at Boston University and the University at Buffalo.
She worked as an elementary English teacher and later as a librarian in the Buffalo Public Schools for more than 20 years before retiring in the early 1980s.
Mrs. Driscoll was a volunteer at Albright-Knox Art Gallery for many years and a 35-year member of the Garret Club, a women's social club in Buffalo.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, George T. Jr., and two daughters, Diane MacDonald and Jane Cabot.
A memorial mass will be offered 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church, 651 Washington St.
