Willie V. King, seamstress, volunteer July 16, 1937 -- Dec. 15, 2006

Services for Willie Voncile King of Buffalo, a seamstress, will be held at noon Friday in Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 179 E. Ferry St., after a wake at 11 a.m.

Mrs. King died Friday in Erie County Medical Center. She was 69.

Born in Wetumpka, Ala., the former Willie Bozeman came to Buffalo with her family as a child and was a graduate of East High School. She worked for many years at M. Wile & Co.

Mrs. King also did volunteer work for many organizations, including Light of the World Missions and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks. She did volunteer tailoring work for many groups and made decorations for special occasions.

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Herrod F.; a daughter, Kimberly L.; and a son, Paul D.
