Contributing

TOPS Markets and Martin's Super Food Store customers throughout New York State and Pennsylvania, have contributed $112,000 to its sixth annual "Hope for the Holidays" Program. This donation will be distributed to food banks in the markets where the money was raised as follows: Food Bank of Western New York, $63,357; Foodlink of Rochester, $36,306; Foodbank of Central New York, $1,762; Foodbank of Southern Tier, $6,142; Central Pa. Foodbank, $2,134; and Foodbank of Northwestern Pa., $2,945 to provide food, warm clothing and toys for low-income families.

Donations to Olmsted ReLeaf, the HSBC Bank in the Community matching gift campaign for the reforestation of trees damaged during the October storm in the Olmsted Park system, has reached nearly $25,000. The bank has pledged to match contributions dollar for dollar with the full match totaling $100,000 through its charitable foundation. Donations can be made by check (made out to the Olmsted ReLeaf fund) at all of HSBC's Western New York branches or mailed to the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy, 84 Parkside Ave., Buffalo 14214.
