Nadine M. Woeppel of Williamsville, who worked as a secretary and was active in the community, died Wednesday in the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Cheektowaga. She was 89.
The former Nadine McGowan was a graduate of Holy Angels Academy and attended Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. She worked as a secretary for Keystone Corp.
Mrs. Woeppel was a parishioner of SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She served as secretary of the Marillac Guild at Sisters Hospital and was an active member of the Western New York Women's Dental Guild.
She was a longtime member of the Cherry Hill Club and the Buffalo Canoe Club.
Her husband of 53 years, Dr. Albert I., died in 1998.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffrey J. and Gregory C., and two daughters, Karen A. Zirnheld and Christine L.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Friday in SS. Peter & Paul Church, 5480 Main St., Williamsville, after prayers at 8:45 in Dengler & Roberts Funeral Home, 8630 Transit Road, East Amherst.
