Raymond F. Narowski of Cheektowaga died Sunday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst, after a lengthy illness. He was 79.
Born in Perry, he attended Perry High School and served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Narowski retired as a welder at Niagara Machine & Tool after working there more than 36 years. He was a past commander of George F. Lamm Post 622, American Legion.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Mary Vignere, and two daughters, Nancy Krosnoff and Rachel Pleban.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 4125 Union Road, Cheektowaga, after prayers at 8:45 in Urban-Amigone Funeral Home, 3645 Genesee St., Cheektowaga.
