James E. Boyd, aircraft technician <br> March 26, 1938 -- Dec. 17, 2006

James E. Boyd of Williamsville died unexpectedly Sunday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. He was 68.

Born in Buffalo, he was a graduate of Seneca Vocational High School and Bryant & Stratton Business Institute. He served in the Air Force and Air National Guard.

Mr. Boyd was an aircraft technician at Niagara Falls Air Station and was a retired member of the 107th Air Refueling Wing in Niagara Falls.

He was a member of Our Lady of Hope Council, Knights of Columbus, and the Holy Name Society of St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church. He also served as a Eucharistic minister, lector and usher for the church.

He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine A. Craig; his mother, Elizabeth; a daughter, Lynn Baudo Johnson; and a brother, Kenneth C.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:45 a.m. today in St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Court at Maple Road, Amherst.
