Arthur Ollino, machinist, held patents <br> Dec. 21, 1918 -- Dec. 11, 2006

Arthur Ollino, of Amherst and Olcott Beach, died Dec. 11 in Newport. He was 87.

Mr. Ollino was born in Russia, emigrated to the United States with his family in 1956 and settled in Amherst. He worked for Consolidated Packaging Machinery as a machinist and held a number of patents for inventions.

After retiring, he owned a cherry orchard on Lake Ontario and sold cherries and honey at his "Lake Shore Orchard" stand.

His wife, Helene Elijasewisch Ollino, died in 1995.

He is survived by a daughter, Victoria Laucello, and a son, Robert.

A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Thursday in SS. Peter & Paul Russian Orthodox Church.
