>State grant will allow YMCA to convert lot

JAMESTOWN -- The state will provide $30,000 so the Eastside Family YMCA can convert a former parking lot into a fenced area for basketball. The money also will help pay for roof repairs at the East Second Street building.

"The YMCA's East Second Street location is one of the busiest streets in Jamestown," said Sen. Catharine M. Young, R-Olean, who described the grant as a way to make the facility safer.
