Oberdan Luparello Jr., realtor, veteran Jan. 12, 1932 -- Dec. 16, 2006

Oberdan Luparello Jr. of Williamsville, a Korean War veteran who operated a real estate business, died Saturday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. He was 74.

Born in Jamestown, Mr. Luparello was a graduate of Jamestown High School and the University at Buffalo, and served in the Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Luparello was president of Luparello Real Estate, working in both real estate sales and insurance.

He was a member of the Greater Buffalo Board of Realtors, Romulus Club and the George F. Lamm Post 622, American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, the former Elaine Weichmann, and four sons, Craig, Ronald, Thomas and Robert.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Aloysius Gonzaga Catholic Church, 157 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga.
