St. John Lutheran Church, Angola, was the setting at 3 p.m. Oct. 14 when Christina Lee Houck became the bride of Gerald E. Papaj Jr. during a ceremony performed by the Rev. Donald Loos.
A reception was given in Big Tree Fire Hall for the newly married couple, who traveled to Kissimmee, Fla. The bride is the daughter of Faith and Mark Houck Sr. of Derby and the bridegroom is the son of Debra Cahill and Gerald E. Papaj Sr., both of Buffalo.
The bride is attending Erie Community College and is a residential habilitation specialist with the Claddagh Commission and the bridegroom is a nursing assistant at Elderwood at Lakewood Nursing Facility. They are graduates of Lake Shore Central High School.
