Peter D. Trombetto, mechanic at Calspan Nov. 26, 1928 -- Dec. 14, 2006

A Mass of Christian Burial for Peter D. Trombetto of Williamsville will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Monday in SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 5480 Main St., Williamsville.

Mr. Trombetto died Thursday at home. He was 78.

Born in Lewis Run, Pa., he served in the Navy as a seaman second class aboard the USS Rochester.

A resident of the area for 55 years, Mr. Trombetto worked as a heating/air-conditioning mechanic at Calspan from 1956 until retiring in 1993.

He was a 55-year member of SS. Peter & Paul Church, a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, and president of Lodge 585 of the international, of which he was a member for 16 years.

Mr. Trombetto is survived by his wife, the former Beverly Parr; four daughters, Lydia, Gina and Cara and Dianne Welch; and two sons, Nicholas and Peter.
